How Stoneman, Inc. Began

Richard “Stoneman” Slonin, expert stone mason, stone sculptor, and owner of Stoneman, Inc., has over 25 years experience in the stone business. He came to Palm Beach County, Florida in 1980 bringing his "northern" masonry experience and training to do fine quality stone installations. When the trend moved from natural coral stone to cast coral stone, he was unhappy with the unnatural look resulting from pitted concrete and baking soda molds. He decided to manufacture his own cast coral stone, using natural coral keystone impressions. The result was a material that looks exactly like REAL coral keystone! Because our product has become very popular - and we are getting many inquiries from other states, as well as Florida - we have expanded our business. We now have a manufacturing plant in Jackson County, North Carolina, also!

How to Get an Estimate for Our Products

Since we have gotten many inquiries about the prices of our products, we felt it would be best to include a page that would explain how we work. Because all of our work is CUSTOM-BUILT, we cannot make a price list. As everyone’s circumstances are different - different sizes, different needs, different set up of homes - it is just too difficult to design a price list. We usually never make the exact same product twice, because of these differences!

What is it you are interested in? We can assist you with anything you see in our web site. Please look at the products on our web pages. There are about 35 pages. Are you interested in fireplaces, columns, pool coping? Most of our designs are in our web pages. Use the Drop Down Window to visit each web page. You may also try looking in our Photo Gallery.

We have found that the easiest and best ways to work with our customers is as follows:

Once you have decided on a product, you can either:

1.) Choose one of our models, but use your own dimensions -- our model # with (a) your firebox's height and width, (b) your desired hearth height, width and depth, (c) your desired mantle height, width, and depth.

2.) Modify something that you have seen on our website by giving us the model number and telling us what modifications you would like to have done, or

3.) You can send us a sketch of something you have in mind (yours or your architect's own design) by E-mail, fax, or regular mail.

Then, simply call or E-mail -- giving us as much detailed information as you can: product, specs, where you are putting the product, name, address, phone #, & zip code where you want it delivered. Blueprints are great help!

We will contact you with prices or to discuss further what you are looking for either by email, fax, or telephone. If you are not sure of the modifications, don't worry! We can discuss those with you when we contact you. Products should be built within 4 to 8 weeks. We have discounted shipping rates (very reasonable!) Delivery takes from 3 to 7 days at the very most. Of course, all of our work is guaranteed!
